Cockade Ribbon Button Brooches

The Cockade Ribbon was originally an ornamental embellishment. Later in history they were  used to broadcast identification with such various organizations as a political party, a military unit, or a household (in the form of livery). In the 1920s women would make them to decorate their own hats.
