Blue Hand Felted Heart Brooch edition #18

This blue heart felted pin is the eighteenth brooch I created, edition #18.

This button is from the late 20th century when women's fashion included buttons on their garments. This type is reffered to an open work painted button. Circa 1890s.

To create this brooch I work with coloured carded wool fleece, needle felting the wool  into a unique design.  It is then hand sewed and beaded with a lock brooch pin on the back.

The dimensions are: width = 2 " and the length 2 1/8".
