Pink Purple Hand Felted Heart Brooch edition #13

This pink and purple heart felted pin is the thirteenth brooch I created, edition #13.

This button is from the late 20th century when women's fashion included buttons on their garments. The center of this button has an elaborate center chunky steel cut facet that has facetted to a red carved shell back. Circa 1890s.

To create this brooch I work with coloured carded wool fleece, needle felting the wool  into a unique design.  It is then hand sewed and beaded with a lock brooch pin on the back.

The dimensions are: width = 2" and the length 2 3/8".
